Welcome to the 7th annual CaYPT! It is a unique experience for students passionate about physics and is a great opportunity for them to further their knowledge in this phenomenal field.
CaYPT Management System
We are continuing to use the CaYPT Management System (CaYPTMS). If you already have a CaYPTMS account, you do not need to make a new account. Simply log into and complete the registration process like previous years. If you are new to CaYPT, please follow the instructions below to make a new account.
Tournament Schedule and Format
CaYPT 2023 will be entirely online. We will be using the platform Zoom for the competition. Students are expected to follow local gathering restrictions. This might mean that students from the same team can not compete at the same location. Students and team leaders should work together to ensure that

Payment and Deadline
There is a registration fee of $315 CAD per team. This allows the CaYPT committee to provide juror compensations and covers the costs of maintaining the necessary information infrastructures.
The tentative deadline for the registration is Feb 15th, 2023 at 11:59 pm EST.
The registration fee can be paid through an e-transfer to info@stemfellowship.org. When sending the e-transfer, please make sure to specify the purpose (CaYPT 2023), your school and/or team name in the notes.
In addition, please email a proof of payment complete with the purpose, date and amount to caypt@stemfellowship.org.
Student Fellowship Program (SFP)
Teams are encouraged to apply for the $1000 equivalent Student Fellowship Program (SFP). Click here for details.
Team Withdraw
If a registered team wishes to withdraw from the competition, the registration fee will be refunded in full before Feb 15th, 2023 at 11:59 pm EST. After this time, there will be no refunds.
If a team fails to show up to the competition, all their members will lose eligibility to participate in the Canadian National Team Selection for IYPT 2023. If the team wishes to withdraw from CaYPT 2023, please email caypt@stemfellowship.org.
