Generative AI’s capacity for data-driven insights can offer unparalleled comprehension of local ecosystems. This includes creating predictive models by analyzing data from diverse sources, such as local flora and fauna patterns. Yet, the integrity of this ecological data is paramount. Cybersecurity plays a pivotal role in safeguarding data from unauthorized breaches and potential misuse.

STEM Fellowship invites high school and CEGEP students to environmental, cybersecurity, and socioeconomic Open Data inquiry to look for analytics and AI-based solutions for UN Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15).

Let’s Talk Science is sponsoring the participation fee of the first 250 teams. Following that, the participation fee is $45 per student.

Teams of 2-5 students will receive datasets, workshops, and tools for analysis. Under the guidance of experts, teams analyze Open Data and present their findings in scientific manuscripts. The entire BDC program is online, ensuring accessibility for all students. At the program’s end, academics and experts will review submissions, leading to the Big Data Day events.
