AI in Education

Learning, networking, and discovering STEM Fellowship initiative for secondary teachers

STEM Fellowship helps school teachers in Canada face the newest and quickly evolving challenges presented by artificial intelligence tools. We equip teachers with the best practices of cognitive work automation in support of their equitable and efficient education

With our conferences, innovation exchange and science communication programs we address concerns related to data privacy, bias and fairness, plagiarism, and transparency in algorithmic decision-making.

Our efforts on this topic are focused on teachers and education workers. As individuals working directly with students and utilizing new technologies in their classrooms daily, their role in using and teaching AI tools in education is of utmost importance.

The conferences will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the benefits and challenges of using AI tools in education, and to explore best practices and implementation strategies for integrating these tools into the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to attend keynote speeches, panel discussions, small group discussions, and hands-on exploration sessions. This allows the teachers to explore case studies and discuss them along with their questions with experienced community members or experts in the field.

The proposed professional development will have a focus on activities and tools for teachers to help them automate some of their teaching practices by using AI tools.
